Community Design Lead

From March 2021 - May 2022, I was an active member of an online community centered around a video game that translated and shared information. It has an active social media presence, boasting 250k+ members, 80k followers on Twitter, & more on other platforms. Although I originally applied as a member of the art team, I was promoted to design lead due to my expertise & my vision for the server’s future graphics.

Combining my artistic skill with my graphic design background really allowed me to flourish in that position. I enjoyed the work I didnot only because it allowed me to mix art & design, but it’s for a community I’m passionate about & enjoy contributing to.

As design lead, I created infographics about upcoming game content for our social media accounts, helped promote internal community events, designed assets and overlays for Twitch translation streams, andreviewed other team member applications. I was in close communication with the other designers on my team to ensure that they were sticking to the branding guidelines and keeping designs consistent, offering feedback and suggestions when necessary.
